Jakarta -The Chief of Staff to The President, Dr. Moeldoko will ensure to find a way out to produce the right solutions in continuing the Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) project in Bali-Mandara Toll Project.
Moeldoko in person welcomed the visit of the Ambassador of Hungary to Indonesia, H. E. Lilla Karsay at the Bina Graha Building, Jakarta, Monday (07/08), both parties discussed several bilateral cooperation related to Indonesia development acceleration, especially those related to the Government of Hungary.
According to Moeldoko, the cancellation of the MLFF trial in Bali Mandara Toll road related to several internal problems that needed to be resolved internally in order to find a good point for both parties. “First, we need a new formula to solve the imbalance to continue the project, and this matter has been the direct concern of the President,” said Moeldoko.
Moeldoko added, this project is closely related to several areas, including legality, law enforcement, central system, also technical readiness such as camera, car, cloud system, and the operation system itself. Acknowledging the impact of this project, Moeldoko believes that further discussions are needed to the related parties about the work plan adjustment first.
Moeldoko also added that this meeting would be continued to related parties, which is Jasamarga, to settle business collaboration in this project. Previously, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing stated that the MLFF-based non-cash transaction system can be one of the new contactless payment innovations. This could be beneficial for Indonesia, because the funding is a pure investment from the Government of Hungary without any funds from APBN.
Meanwhile, the Ambassador of Hungary to Indonesia, H. E. Lilla Karsay, said their party was ready to negotiate in order to find a mutually beneficial decision related to the MLFF project that is worth US$ 300 million (approximately Rp. 4.4 trillion). As a recall, the two countries had good communication for 68 years that produced several bilateral implementations.
“Although there are various handicap related to the implementation of this toll road project, as a part of the Government of Hungary, we are open to discuss with related parties, and of course we have no intention of carrying out this project only from our side, we provide various offers that can be positive approval from both parties and we wait for it, “said the Ambassador.
The Ambassador of Hungary to Indonesia directly stated that a visit to the KSP would be a positive step to be able to resolve the bottleneck of the Bali Mandara Toll Road project problem. Thus, the right solution will be found in completing the contactless cashless toll road transaction project. “We will immediately coordinate with Jasamarga soon and we will have further discussions with Hungary,” Moeldoko concluded.
This meeting was held at the Presidential Staff Office, attended by the Presidential Chief of Staff, Dr. Moeldoko, Deputy III KSP, Edy Prioyono, and The Ambassador of Hungary to Indonesia, H.E. Lilla Karsay, and President Director of PT Roatex Indonesia Toll System, Atila Keszeg.
